The Severn Waste Services Community Action Fund (SWS CAF) provides grants of between £5,000 and £40,000 to not-for-profit organisations for amenity projects eligible under Object D and Object DA of the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF).

Only applications for projects sited in Herefordshire or Worcestershire, within 10 miles of the eligible Severn Waste Services waste facilities listed below can be accepted.

• SWS Hill and Moor Landfill Site, Pershore, WR10 2LW
• SWS Leominster Household Waste site, Leominster, HR6 8EA
• SWS Hartlebury Energy from Waste Site, DY10 4JD

Application Rounds

The scheduled funding rounds are as follows:

• 2026-2 Round - NOW OPENING 4 MARCH 2026 and closes at 5.00pm on 20 May 2026
• 2026-3 Round - opens 3 June 2026 and closes at 5.00pm on 19 August 2026
• 2026-4 Round - opens 2 September 2026 and closes at 5.00pm on 18 November 2026

The Board make funding decisions quarterly, approximately 16 weeks after the round closes.
