Coton Village Says Thank you to Some Very Generous Donors

Coton Village hosted some very special guests last month. Roisin and John from FCC Environment’s Milton Landfill Site spent the morning meeting villagers who wanted to show their thanks for grant money awarded to the Parish Council by FCC Communities Foundation through the Landfill Communities Fund.

In 2020 Coton Village received a grant of £35,000 from FCC Communities Foundation to refurbish its recreation ground play area but sadly couldn’t host an opening event because of Covid restrictions. Earlier this year improvements were made to our smaller community play area at Benny’s Way with the help of a further grant of £25,000.

Marilyn Treacy speaking on behalf of the Parish Council said, “We are beyond grateful to FCC Communities Foundation for coming up trumps again with £25,000 funding for a new multiplay unit, triple swing set and picnic table”.

Mark Abbott, chair of the Parish Council gave a vote of thanks to Coton Orchard Garden Centre for contributing third party funding and new trees for the recreation ground.
