22/07/2025
Cricketers in Methley are set to get a refurbished 3 lane practice facility thanks to a £17,160.00 grant from FCC Communities Foundation.
The money will be used to refurbish the current practice facility at Methley Cricket Club in Yorkshire making it fit for purpose.
Michael Waite, Chairman of Methley Cricket Club believes the facility will make a huge difference to the development of cricketers in the area and will help support our mission statement.
To inspire the local community to come together and be involved in cricket, to thrive in a diverse and all inclusive, friendly environment, allowing individuals to fulfil their potential.
Michael says: “This project will provide a real boost to the cricketers within Methley. It’s fantastic that FCC Communities Foundation has awarded us this money and we’re really looking forward to our practice nets taking shape over the next few months, with the expected opening to be around September 2025”
