State of the art £161,000 recreational facility unveiled

An exciting state of the art recreational facility has been delivered by the Parish Council at Welton Manor Park playing fields, Lincolnshire. The project comprises of 2 Multi Use Games Areas's, a picnic area and an outdoor gym.
The £161,000 project was funded with a £99,830.85 grant from FCC Communities Foundation alongside funding from the Parish Council and West Lindsey District Council.
The work has included:
- Landscaping to remove a section of the existing conifer hedge to open up the area for the installation of the MUGAs, fitness equipment and seating
- Groundworks to create the MUGA and fitness area and a sub-base including proposed link paths
- Supplying and laying of new tarmac surfacing for the MUGAs and pathways, line markings for the sports courts and the supply and installation grass matting
- Two MUGAs 12m x 24m with multi sports goals and cricket wicket panels
- Ten pieces of outdoor gym equipment
- Eight picnic tables and benches will be installed for people to rest and relax.
