The village of Thornborough, North Buckinghamshire are set to get a refurbished village hall thanks to a £85,000 grant from FCC Communities Foundation.
The money will be used to improve and extend the kitchen area, modernise the toilets, provide an additional storage area and a complete redecoration.
Steve Wilkins, chair of the Thornborough Village Hall committee believes the new village hall will make a huge difference to the residents of Thornborough and our close neighbours in Thornton and Coombs.
He says ‘This project provides a real boost to the people of Thornborough so many of whom use the village hall on a regular basis. It’s fantastic that FCC Communities Foundation has awarded us this money and we’re really looking forward to our Village Hall taking shape over the next few months.]”
Steve commented that he ‘expects the Village Hall to be ready to use by the beginning of September 2024.’
