Funding approved for St Andrews church

The money will be used to replace leaky flat roofs and high level windows at St Andrews Church on Grangeway in Runcorn.

The Reverend Emma Speake of St Andrews Church believes the facility will make a huge difference to the lives of people living in the area.

She says: “This project will provide a real boost to the people of Grange. It’s fantastic that FCC Communities Foundation has awarded us this money and we’re really looking forward to our building improvements taking shape over the next six months.

The Reverend Emma Speake hopes the improved church building will be ready to use by August 2022

The church building, at the heart of the Grange estate, is used by a wide range of groups but has suffered in recent years from water damage caused by its leaking roof and windows. This project, generously supported by FCC Communities Foundation and Veolia Environmental Trust with a grant of £75,000, will ensure a fit for purpose building for the future benefit of the local community.

Any individuals or organisations wanting to know more about the use of the building or who would like to support St Andrew’s ongoing building improvements are asked to contact The Reverend Emma Speake at the Vicarage on Lime Grove, Grange, Runcorn.
