Funding approved for Thurgarton’s Village Hall Refurbishment Project
27/02/2020
Thurgarton Parishioners are set to get a newly refurbished and sustainable Village Hall thanks to a £49,230 grant from FCC Communities Foundation.
The money will be used towards improving the energy efficiency of the Village Hall in Thurgarton which will bring long term benefits to the community and the groups and classes that uses it. The work will include insulating the walls and roof, replacing windows and timber cladding and over roofing the current structure.
The Chair of the Thurgarton Community Association David Lewis, believes that the improved facility will make a huge difference to people of all ages in the community.
He says “This project will provide a real boost to the people of Thurgarton. It’s fantastic that FCC Communities Foundation has awarded us the money and we’re really looking forward to our energy efficient hall taking shape over the next 5 months”
David Lewis hopes the facility will be ready for use by Autumn 2020.
