Changes to Funding Parameters – Effective from 20 November 2025
We are making updates to our funding parameters from 20 November 2025. Please see below for details.
Changes to Maximum Total Project Cost
We will only consider applications for projects where the total project cost is less than £250,000, including VAT (if it cannot be reclaimed). This change applies to our Community Action Funds in England.
If your project is delivered in phases, we will only accept an application for a phase if it meets all of the following criteria:
- The phase is under £250,000 (including VAT, if it cannot be reclaimed).
- It is distinct and self-contained.
- It can be completed independently.
- It is subject to a separate tender process.
- It will result in a fully operational and compliant facility upon completion.
Please note: The fitting out of toilets, kitchens, or other standard fixtures within a new-build community facility does not constitute a separate phase.
Changes to Minimum Application Amount
We are also increasing our minimum grant value from £2,000 to £10,000. This means that to submit an application, you must be requesting a grant of £10,000 or more.
This change affects all our funding programmes:
- FCC Community Action Fund
- SWS Community Action Fund
- FCC Scottish Action Fund
