Village hall now open following the official celebrations

Thornborough Village Hall in Buckinghamshire is now open following the official Opening Celebrations on 21st September.
The day was well attended by the local community who came together to celebrate in style and enjoyed taking part in a sports day, fancy dress competition, children’s fruit and veg show, WI teas, barbeque and listening to a local band.
The hall now offers users a traditional village hall feel with modern food preparation area, toilets and fabulous main hall meeting area which was funded by a £85,000 grant from FCC Communities Foundation.
Steve Wilkins, chair of the Village Hall committee is delighted that the project is now in use.
He says: “The village hall is so important to the village community for meetings, exercise classes and celebrations and we are delighted with how the refurbishment has gone. We are extremely grateful to FCC Communities Foundation for providing funding as we would not have been able to go ahead without its support.”
