Zipping our way through the summer holidays!

Children in Cherry Willingham and surrounding areas had a great summer, in part due to the installation of a new zip wire in St Paul’s Park, thanks to funding from FCC Communities Foundation.
Installation of the Zipwire started on 4th August and was completed 2 weeks later and has been a popular addition to the play area with many children enjoying the thrill of the ride. The overriding response from the users is “it’s great!”
Cherry Willingham Parish Council are delighted to see that the Aerial Runway is proving a great success and offered thanks to all those involved in the project, not least FCC Communities Foundation for funding the project but also to the Parish Council Offices involved who managed and worked with FCC Communities Foundation to deliver the project. Cherry Willingham Parish Council Fundraising Committee played an important role too by raising funds to pay the Contributing Third Party funding which is a requirement of the Landfill Communities Fund.
Councillor Andrew Burge, Chair of the Parish council said "The aerial runway has proved to be a huge success and valuable addition to the play area. We are delighted to be able to provide this for the young people of the village to enjoy. Everyone that we have seen using it has said how much they are enjoying it; the best comment we heard from one child was 'it's the best thing EVER’ The Parish Council are very grateful for the funding from FCC Communities Foundation that has allowed us to provide this for the village."
