CARLTON LE MOORLAND HAS A NEW VILLAGE HALL
13/06/2019
Hundreds of Carlton le Moorland residents had their first chance to see inside their brand-new village hall during the Open Day on Saturday 1 June. Everyone was delighted with the modern, airy building and its facilities. The new building was funded by the National Lottery, FCC Communities Foundation, The local Young Peoples' Trust and the Village Hall Fundraising Group. It is the culmination of a seven-year project by the Parish Council.
"We are really pleased with the new hall and are confident that it will be very well used. Community activity here has always been strong; with the new hall, it will be more varied and involve more people,” said Cllr Andy Sceeny.
Jeremy Hutchinson, Parish Council Chairman said, "We are very appreciative of the grants awarded by The National Lottery and by FCC Communities Foundation. Without their support, this hall could not have been built."
Resident comments included,
"This is amazing, we cannot wait to use the facility, it looks just great."
"... altogether it's WOW."
"Really impressed, lovely, light and airy, great views, just what we need!"
"Kitchen is such an improvement and really well designed."
Residents praised Councillors for their achievement and thanked all the funders.
