Antrobus to welcome new community hub and tearoom

17/04/2026

An £81,200 FCC Communities Foundation grant will help create a welcoming new space for residents to meet, relax and connect.

Plans are underway to create a new community hub and tearoom in the heart of Antrobus village, thanks to funding support from FCC Communities Foundation.

The project, supported by a grant of £81,200, will see a purpose-built kitchen and tearoom fitted out within a wider community space on Knutsford Road, providing a welcoming new facility for local residents.

Once complete, the hub will offer a warm and inviting environment where people can meet, socialise and relax over refreshments, helping to strengthen community connections.

Heather Sutton, Chairman of Antrobus Village Hall, said:

“This project to fit out the new community hub and tearoom brings our vision for a new community facility to life. It will provide a warm, calm and welcoming space for people to meet, connect and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and some home-baked cake.

“It’s a real boost for the people of Antrobus. We’re incredibly grateful to FCC Communities Foundation for this support and look forward to seeing the hub take shape over the coming months.”

The funding will enable the creation of a modern, comfortable and homely space, complete with kitchen, restroom and storage facilities.

It is hoped the tearoom will open each morning, with the space then available for hire in the afternoons and evenings, ensuring it serves a wide range of community needs.

Income generated through the tearoom will help support the ongoing running and long-term sustainability of the facility, securing its future as a valued local asset.
