Funding approved for new playground in Killamarsh

Children in Killamarsh are set to get a new playground thanks to a £100,000 grant from FCC Communities Foundation.

The money will be used to install a brand-new playground at High Moor, Killamarsh on Mansfield Road.

Councillor Steve Clough, Chair of Killamarsh Parish Council, believes the facility will make a huge difference to the lives of people living in the area. He says “This project will provide a real boost to the people of Killamarsh. It’s fantastic that FCC Communities Foundation has awarded us this money and we’re really looking forward to our new playground taking shape over the next few months”.

Penny Horne, FCC Communities Foundation Grant Manager, says: “We’re delighted to be supporting the Killamarsh - High Moor Playground project and pleased our funding will provide such a fantastic facility for children and young families within Killamarsh, we’re really looking forward to seeing this one take shape soon.”
