Village Hall makeover unlocks new opportunities for Stoke Ferry community
04/09/2026
A state-of-the-art audio-visual system, new curtains and blinds have transformed Stoke Ferry Village Hall into a more welcoming, accessible and versatile space for local events and activities.
The latest phase of improvements to the Village Hall has now been completed, and the results are fantastic.
The hall has been transformed with new stage curtains, blinds and a modern audio-visual system, creating a more professional, welcoming and versatile space for the whole community.
A demonstration of the new equipment showed just how simple it is to use, and the improvements are already opening up exciting new opportunities. A cinema club is being planned, while the Parish Council has already booked the hall for a Local Plan Consultation presentation.
The new audio system has also been designed with accessibility and the future in mind. It includes both a hearing loop and an Auri system, providing support for different hearing-aid technologies and helping to ensure that events and activities can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.
This project is making a real difference to what the Village Hall can offer, providing a flexible space for community events, meetings, presentations, entertainment and activities for residents of all ages.
We are extremely grateful to the FCC Communities Foundation who have supported the project. Their help has enabled us to continue investing in the hall and create a facility that the whole community can enjoy and be proud of.
Cheryl Raynor, Grant Manager at FCC Communities Foundation said "The transformation of Stoke Ferry Village Hall is a fantastic example of how investment in community facilities can create lasting benefits. It is exciting to see the hall evolving into an even more inclusive and flexible space, and we look forward to hearing about the many activities and events it will host in the future."
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Marcus at CDC Curtains and Chris at CXK Electrical for making and installing the new equipment, we are delighted with the results.
With this phase now complete, we are looking forward to the final stage of the project – rendering the front of the building and installing the new internal doors – which will complete this major programme of improvements.
