Funding approved for New Play Park in Laughton

The residents on Laughton and surrounding areas are set to get a new playpark thanks to a £74,400 grant from FCC Communities Foundation.

The money, will be used to buy and install play equipment and an agility trail on the Laughton Cricket ground on Laughton Road

Margaret Malam of Laughton Parish Council believes the facility will make a huge difference to the lives of people living in the area.

She says: “This project will provide a real boost to the people of Laughton and surrounding areas It’s fantastic that FCC Communities Foundation has awarded us this money and we’re really looking forward to our playpark and agility trail taking shape over the next six months”.

Margaret Malam hopes the playpark and agility trail will be ready to use by September.
