Highfield Road Playpark re-opens thanks to community funding

Highfield Road playpark in Hillhead, Kirkintilloch, has now officially re-opened following an upgrade to the play equipment and safety surfacing.

The upgrade is great news for the community providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for local children and families to enjoy, encouraging physical activity, social interaction and imaginative play.

Catherine McKiernan, Director of Hillhead Housing Association, said “We are extremely grateful to both our funders, FCC Communities Foundation and EB Scotland Ltd for providing significant financial support to upgrade this well used playpark in the heart of the Hillhead community. We are particularly pleased that the upgrade includes some accessible play equipment allowing safe access for all local children”.

We’re proud to support a project that will bring so much joy to local children and families, encouraging play, activity and connection for years to come.
