Official Opening of Sutton Play Park

Children are now benefiting from the recent upgrade and are now enjoying the zip-wire, spiders web climbing frame, round-a-bout and additional swings for older children after being officially opened by Cllr Mark Inskip, Chairman of Sutton Parish Council.

The project, funded by a £57,241.00 grant from the FCC Community Action Fund, has provided the new equipment and safety surface.

The Chairman of Sutton Parish Council, Cllr Mark Inskip is excited that the project is now complete. He says “This is a fantastic upgrade to the Sutton’s play park. The new surface is a big improvement and the new play equipment will give children a much better play experience. We are extremely grateful for the funding WREN has given to the project”.

The school council from the local primary were involved in the project and helped influence the design the provision on the play area. Research for the forthcoming Neighbourhood Plan allowed the local community to be involved and identify the facilities within the village that are important to them.
