Work begins on major playground refurbishment in Little Horwood

Building work is under way to create a much-improved play area for children in the Buckinghamshire village of Little Horwood.
The Recreational playground project is a step closer now that the first diggers have moved in and the old equipment has been removed at the site in Little Horwood.
The project is being largely funded by a £70,000 grant from FCC Communities Foundation plus additional monies from local fundraising efforts. The play area is scheduled to be completed by Easter and will provide a new cableway, an impressive multi tower play unit and a coco wave swing amongst other items, all of which have been specially selected to provide a wide range of diverse and inclusive play opportunities for local children.
Shirley Spurrell , Joint Chairman of The Little Horwood Recreational Ground Trust is excited that the project is starting to take shape. She stated: “It’s great to see our vision for this vital community facility moving closer to reality. We are extremely grateful for the funding FCC Communities Foundation has given us and we’re looking forward to seeing our young people make full use of this facility.”
